How to Create Categories

1. Click the ‘Categories’ tab in the backlot. 
2. Click ‘+ New Top-Level Category’
3. Add the category name
4. Click the ‘Add’ button.

How do I add a thumbnail to the categories? 

1. Click ‘Manage’ on the category you’d like to add a thumbnail. 
2. Click ‘Upload Image’
3. Click ‘Save’ and you’re all set! 

How to Categorize Media:

We use two different ways to categorize media. A hierarchical organizational structure can be used to map out your content so that subscribers can easily navigate through media on the platform.  As you can see below, you can use categories and collections to group your media together. 

Think of these as broad categories that you will use to bundle media together. There is no limit to how many categories you can have but we recommend keeping it to 6 or less.
